New York Dozen: Gen X Architects

One June 22, 2011, Chair of the Department of Architecture Michael J. Crosbie premiered his new book New York Dozen: Gen X Architects to a full house at the Center for Architecture in New York City. Following in the tradition of other famed contemporary surveys of architectural practice, such as Five on Five, Professor Crosbie explores a diverse cross section of today’s up and coming New York-based firms. He discussed the book along with principles from its featured studios including¬†Andre Kikoski Architect, Architecture in Formation, Arts Corporation, Christoff/Finio Architecture, Della Valle Bernheimer, Leroy Street Studio, Levenbetts, MOS, nARCHITECTS, Studio Sumo, Work Architecture Company (WORKac), and WXY Architecture. Kristin Richards, Hon. AIA, wrote the forward, and was also in attendance. The event was written up in eOCULUS newsletter’s “Reports from the Field” section.
